Verta was born on November 9, 1921 and passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018.
Verta was a resident of Warren, Pennsylvania at the time of passing.
In 1947, she graduated from Chicago Evangelistic Institute, and later, from Vennard College in Oskaloosa, Iowa, with a bachelor's degree in sacred literature.
A committed Christian, she was a member of the Warren First Church of the Nazarene from the age of 13, teaching in the Sunday School, Children's Church programs and serving in the church visitation program. Friends will be received from 10-11 am on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Pennsylvania Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365, with a funeral service to follow, J Maier, pastor, officiating.
The family has asked memorial contributions be given to the Warren First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Pennsylvania Ave E, Warren, PA 16365.
